Reverend Jack Filby led the evening meeting at the Free Church. His wife, Pauline Filby, was meant to come too. She is a professional singer and was going to sing, but she couldn’t get back from Holland because there was thick fog at the airport. Reverend Jack told us that when Pauline sings, she can sing with a candle right in front of her without blowing it out. Then Reverend Jack played his guitar and sang instead, and he was very good too.
